FIRE-RESISTANT SYNTHETIC MICA TAPE:

Synthetic mica is obtained by mixing the mineral component in preweighted percentage.The mixed powder is loaded into a furnace where is melted at 1700℃.Once cooled the vitrous laminar block of 15 ton is reduced in flakes. This synthetic mica,as it is perfectly pure,without foreign mineral contamination offers a very high dielectric performance and a top temperature resistance up to 1300℃. From the mica flakes is obtained a mica paper that combined to a glassfiber net with silicon binder is used for fire resistance cable wrapping. This tape is lighter than the phlogopite similar tape,it is more compact and allows a very high speed of the wrapping machine. The fluorine release of the products is within the european regulation and,in fact,this synthetic mica is also used in a micronized form in cosmetic industry.
